SMS = Short Message Service, more commonly known as a text message. SMS messages require an active US mobile number. All members who receive message via SMS have to confirm by replying back to a confirmation text message when added to a Yaptap Community. Standard text messaging and data rates apply.

Push Notifications = Incoming messages that are received on the Yaptap App either on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, or Android Phone. Push Notifications do not require an active mobile phone, only and internet connection and a device with the Yaptap App. This makes messages free on the member receiving them and gives the member a better experience using the Yaptap App.
