Having your Members join a group by email is a great way to avoid adding those Members to a group manually. The steps below will work if the Member is in or is not in your Yaptap Community. If the member is not in the Community yet, this will add them to a specific Group and the Members Column in Yaptap. The Community Leader can set the group code when creating the group. It will be the #code that appears below the group name.
1. have the Members open a new email in their email account.
2. In the TO field type: join@yaptap.com
3. In the SUBJECT field type: Join *YourCommunityCode #GroupCode FirstName LastName
Example: Join *yaptap #youth Jon Doe
4. Click SEND.
5. Reply back YES to the confirmation email.
If you are not sure what your Community Code is, login to Yaptap online and look at the *code below the Logout button in the top right corner. Also, make sure not to type anything in the body of the email, when sending the join email.
