By having Members join your Yaptap Community via text message, this will allow you to save time on any data entry. This is by far the most popular way that existing Community leaders have their Members join their Yaptap Community. When Members join your Yaptap Community by text message, this will automatically set that Member's communication preference to text messages, meaning that they will receive messages by text message. Have your Members perform the following steps.

1. Have the Members open a new text message on their phone.

2. In the phone number field enter  20166.

3. In the body of the text message enter: Join *YourCommunityCode FirstName LastName     Example: Join *yaptap Jon Doe

If you are not sure what your Community Code is, login to Yaptap online and look at the code below the Logout button in the top right corner. It is also a good idea to remind people to be careful of their iPhone or Android auto-correcting words which would cause the join text message not to work.
